Eldar Murtazin’s done it again, this time getting his hands on another Sony Ericsson phone that was ousted into the wild some time ago, the MT15i. This phone runs Gingerbread, and was reviewed on mobile-review.com. Eldar claims that Sony Ericsson “has developed and is about to launch truly cutting edge devices and…has almost nothing to fear in the hardware department as well”.
The specs seem to be what we’ll be calling midrange this year: a 1GHz Qualcomm CPU with Adreno 205 graphics and 512MB of RAM. The phone also has the Arc’s Bravia engine in the display, but Eldar disappointingly pointed out that it only kicked in during multimedia sessions, meaning gaming and watching movies. Another disappointing feature is the front-facing camera is not an HD unit (go figure), but Eldar does say that is has above average performance. On the other hand, the video-camera is the same 8MP unit in the Arc, with technology similar to that of the iPhone 4, only we hope will better the Apple superphone with its 8MP camera. We got a gallery below, thanks to the folks at mobile-review.com.
