Eric Schmidt sure knows how to be a tease. Right there, for the length of the Summit’s opening ( AN ENTIRE 44 MINUTES) Eric had the Nexus out, either in his hand or on his lap. The look’s growing on us here at the Collective, but so far it looks like it’s nothing more that a glorified credit card.
But more interestingly, he showed off a little Gingerbread. It looks very similar to Froyo, so major UI changes will be coming with Honeycomd (3.0). But here’s something special someone somewhere decided to leak: Gingerbread has a cool, “old TV” shutdown animation. Video follows below.
